Up and coming best describes this yound Dubstep producer, since leaving internet radio station Dubstep FM he's tracks have just got better and better with some starting to filter on to the likes of digital distributing websites such as Beatport. With an amazing array of style in his tracks, Widdler somehow always manages to leave something that you can't quite put your finger on but tells you he made it. As he continues to diversify within the reaches of Dubstep The Widdler is undouvtedly one of the most exciting young producers in the game and deffinately one to keep you ear on.

UNKLE;
These guys are one of my all time favourite artists. With each of their four albums to date attempting to give a distinctively Unkle take on a new genre, you're never really sure what you'll get from them except of course high production values and great music. To date they've tackled dance music , rock and hip hop in their first three albums and in their recently released fourth album they amalgamated all of the three into a beautifully crafted album that fits in the description of "Longplayer". Below I've givfe you two tracks, one from their fourth album "War Stories" and the other from the recently released "Where Did The Night Fall". These are my two favourite albums from Unkle however both are quite different as are the tracks I've given you. "Restless" is a much more up tempo energetic powerful piece of music, whereas "Ever Rest" is a much slower melancholic track. This is a good example of what Unkle is like and also of the amazing vocal talents they use on their tracks.

THE VELVET UNDERGROUND;
Voted the most influencial band of the last century, Velvet Underground are a powerful band indeed. While many of you might not have heard of the band you will perhaps know the lead singer Lou Reed who is world famous in his own right. With Lou Reed writing most of the songs the band played this band was bound to do something special, which they did. Largely hailed as one of the first bands to delve in to dark and depressing material, The Velvet Underground and Lou Reed alike are accredited with setting the path for both the future of rock aswell as "inventing" the 70's. This band is absoultely amazing and has deffinately earned its place both in my heart and in history.

BURIAL;
OK so the picture above is actually a picture of Burial with Four Tet, the only problem is Burial has a bag on his head. This however is the norm for all Burial publicity, the reclusive Dubstep genius has maintained this guise from the early days of the Dubstep scene (of which he is one of the main figures). The only picture of the man's face to date has been a blurry low quality picture he posted in 2008 in response to winning an award and in the process of announcing a new 12 inch, until then he claimed only 5 people new who he was and that He made music. Residing on Kode9's record label Hyperdub for several years and having released 2 critically acclaimed albums, Burial's career is only getting bigger helped in great part by the legend of his anonymity. With rumours now circulating about a potential remix project involving Massive Attack and their recently released "Heligoland" one things for certain we'll probably never stop hearing this man's great music nor ever find out exactly who he is.

THE CINEMATIC ORCHESTRA;
The Cinematic Orchestra was first brought to my attention while watching one of my favourite films of all time "Kidulthood" which feature their collaborative track with Roots Manuva "All Things To All Men" (provided below). since then I've learnt a bit more about them, listened to two of their amazing albums and kept continuous tabs on their work.
So what do I think? Residing on the label Ninja Tune, The Cinematic Orchestra create music that is as equally visual as it is emotional, creating an experience that is one of a kind. With several collaborations under their belt, they continue to diversify within the music world as they spin their wonderful web of musical genius. Their albums are the very definition of long player, and something which i often set aside for late nights and rainy days. These guys really are an absolute joy to listen to and one of a kind in their tweaking of the traditional concept of an orchestra.

Label Hyperdub obviously can spot talent when they signed this giurl a couple of years back as she's now really coming through with the goods. As per usual I have to say it's good seeing yet another girl on the roster of females in the Dubstep, along with her female companions; Emika, Kito, Vaccine, Ikonika etc these girls are really making waves in the scene and keeping it fresh.

Yet another illusive Dubstep artist (they seem to be everywhere), George Lenton made his way into his fame through the power of the internet, as he became a blog favourite on numerous sights it was only a matter of time before he was signed and became a full fledged artists. These two tracks exhibit perfectly the diversity of George Lenton, Simply Beautiful has been described perfectly by it's title as it strings together potent lyrics, guitars and an eerie static making a very powerful track, while Troll is the absoulte opposite in every way as it perfectly fits the term banger. Cosmin TRG is more proof of the wide spread world appeal of Dubstep and DubTech alike. Hailing from Bucharest, Romania (Just as DJ Madd did) Cosmin has been stringing together quite thte succesful blog hype career, appearing absolutely everywhere on the Interwebs... This is a man who's unique take on DubTech and Dubstep along with his high production values have set him up with a career that is undoubtedly about to explode. This fact is further supported by many of the artists in the scene bringing this guy up in interviews including the likes of hot new talent Emika.
All this means I'll deffinately be watching this lad.

A futuristic take on the past, that's the best I can do to sum up Australian group Grafton Primary. With influences on the group evidently coming from the Disco and Electronica of the past while the vocals take heavily from that of the famous Depeche Mode. PLASTICIAN;
Plastician is a god to me, if only for creating "Intensive Snare" (one of my favourite tracks of all time). He's music has a certain swagger to it that is akin to that of Hip Hop, however he always incorporates good Dubstep elements that are true to the genres roots. In the last couple of years he's gone quiet though, after releaseing his first album "Beg To Differ" he went off the map with no news of new tracks or anything. However there have been several strange videos that the man behind Plastician has posted of himself near naked singing romantic ballads and wearing strange costumes, also he was interviewed by a dog in one such interview. Rumours have begun to circulate that this year we will be lucky enough to see a new album, fingers crossed that's true.
