GHOSTS ON TAPE;
Mystical Glitch Hop, this is best described as Hip Hop for white people.
This track is lifted off Ghosts on Tape's EP "Predator" and what an EP indeed. Ghosts manages to craft a magical broken beat Hip Hop landscape filled with glitches, vocal samples and all manner of mechanical noises. This LP further establishes Numbers Record Label as my favourite place for ahead of the curve music right now.
There is also a traditionally tribal Roska remix of the title track featured on the EP.

TREI;
New Zealand is slowly starting to prove itself as quite the place for music producers, in particular Drum and Bass. With Consequence recently rising to fame via their LP artists are starting to come into the limelight everywhere in New Zealand.
Trei is no different with his eclectic take on drum and bass he is set to make huge waves in the scene. This track is well mixed down and has great vocals layered on top.

Although Roska was not the first one to start making UK Funky he has managed to place himself at the very front of the scene with a series of great Ep's and a self titled album.
UK Funky is yet another genre of UK based music that has managed to gain great traction via the miracle that is the internet.
This boy will undoubtedly continue to be classified as one of the fathers of the scene and rightly so, keep your eye and ear's on him.

Record label Hessle Audio has a new kid on the block.
The currently faceless Joe has been making huge waves in parts of underground music as of late, featuring in everything from future beat sets to drum and bass sets as well as on Mary Anne Hobbs experimental show.
This guy (assumed male) has definitely got some talent and is someone to watch for sure and this track is definitely on my heavy rotation list of June 2010.

GUNJACK;
Gunjack has been quite the youtube sensation as of late, packing a lot of punch into every track.
This heavy handed Dubstep producer appears to be out to cause maximum damage with each track set to destroy dance floors and speakers alike.
If you like this you should check out the Gunjack track "Murda" which manages to out a new twist on the now over-used Dub sample.

LORN;
Lorn is the newest project from Flying Lotus' record Label "BrainFeeder" and my gosh is he good.
Bretagne is lifted off Lorn's debut LP titled "Nothing Else", and while not the highlight of the LP is definitely a great track.
"Nothing Else" redefines the definition of IDM sound scape, and though the guiding hand of label Boss 'Flying Lotus' is ever present it is never intrusive and still allows the evident talent of 'Lorn' to come through.
This LP is definitely one for heavy rotation and well and truly establishes Lorn as a force to be reckoned with in the LA/ West Side/ Future Beat sound.

SPOR;
Spor continues to leave his Drum and Bass path of destruction with this remix of super team Calyx and Teebee.
Spor has well and truly carved his own niche into the Drum and Bass scene with his own take on the genre. This guy knows how to pack a punch and a half, with every kick feeling as though he's dropped a one tonne weight on you.
A true dance floor banger.
